Family & Friends

Home 9 Circle of Support: Family & Friends

If you have a child, sibling, or other loved one living with a disability in New Jersey, you may have many questions to ask. Where can they live? What medical care do they need? What do they need to be independent and to thrive? Who will care for them if I cannot, and when I am gone?

Though you know your loved one’s needs and preferences best, it can be challenging to know how to support them now and in the future.  PLAN|NJ can help advocate for them, find supportive housing, navigate Social Security and other government agencies, take care of health concerns, arrange transportation for appointments and vacations, find supported employment, try a new sport or skill, get involved in their community, and so much more.

We can help you plan. We can help you build a network of professional human service providers, attorneys and financial advisors. We can help you ensure quality of life for your loved one, so that they feel they are safe and protected, now and in the future. PLAN|NJ can help you find greater peace of mind about your loved one’s future. Watch our short film,  A Talk with Families, for a glimpse of whom we serve.
