Ellie Byra, Secretary
“Supporting individuals and families with disabilities has always been a primary concern for me. My sister was born with a developmental disability and lived in a group home. I became an active disability rights advocate when my son Matthew was born. Back then, communities offered no educational or family supports; today there are caring environments in place. My greatest joy is in realizing how far we have come, yet I also recognize the long road ahead for people with disabilities.”
